Description
CHROMIUM OXIDE (Cr2O3) - CI PG 17 - 77288 Chromium oxide green contains more than 98% Cr2O3 and has a low Cr6+ content. Like all oxides, chromium green is a highly stable pigment, which makes it the most important UV-resistant green pigment. Chromium green is only available in 'olive green'.

Characteristics
Due to its excellent UV- and weather resistance, chromium oxide green can be used under practically all circumstances both in- and outdoors. Due to its alkali resistance and good colouring power, this pigment is most suitable for lime- and cement products. Chromium oxide green is acid resistant and can be used in combination with many chemicals. Because this chromium oxide green provides good coverage, it is widely used in paint products. The temperature resistance of chromium oxide is higher than 1000°C, and can be used in the production of ceramics. Chromium oxide green with a low Cr6+ content is non-toxic.
